Governance

Mini Thni Foundation is led by a Board of Directors; comprising of a representative chosen from Bearspaw First Nation, Chiniki First Nation, and Goodstoney First Nation.

The Board of Directors is responsible for all funding decisions which are then subject to the approval of Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis. The Bylaws of the Foundation call for an equitable distribution of funds to Bearspaw First Nation, Chiniki First Nation, and Goodstoney First Nation. Funds from gaming also support the Foundation’s administrative and operational costs.

In addition, the Foundation employs all of the staff operating the Cash Cage/Count Room at the Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino.

The MTF Board of Directors is responsible for hiring a full-time Executive Director to manage the day-to-day operations.
